There is a perfect picture of sin here. When we sin WE are runaway, slaves. “You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.” Romans 6:18 If I run away and decide to live my own life, I am useless to God and I have done what Onesimus has done – I’ve stolen my master’s property.  “…You are not your own;  you were bought at a price…” 1 Cor 6:19-20
