Ask God for Understanding

You don't have because you don't ask. And then the things that you're asking for, you're asking for just to consume them into your own lives. You're asking for the this and the that, the trivial things. But the weightier things, the more important things, the critical things...you have left them on the table and God is saying, come and ask me. "Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish."
